The National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) defines circuit training as "a series of exercises that an individual performs one immediately after the other, with minimal rest" and is great for individuals looking for results with a limited amount of time.
HIIT stands for "High Intensity Interval Training" and adds a fast-paced element to circuit training through short bursts of high-intensity energy to spike the heart rate and burn those calories quickly.
Personally, I find that this style of training is not only beneficial to increase strength, endurance and flexibility in a short amount of time, but also keeps you from getting bored since every workout will be different!
Yes! Everyone starts somewhere and I'd love to hear about your overall fitness goals and help tailor a program to meet your needs and experience level.
Let's just do it! The best way to start is just to start.
Every workout will feel different: you'll have some amazing days and some off days - that's to be expected. It's all about the effort and making progress, not being perfect. Just the fact that you show up and try is enough to make you stronger each and every day.
