Hi! I'm Sammi and I hate working out. :)
No, seriously.
There are days I start a workout and I immediately regret all of my life choices. Sometimes I:
a) don't want to go,
b) feel too tired,
c) am not in a good mental state,
and/or d) all of the above.
BUT.
I never regret it.
Growing up, I didn't really participate in sports or focus on fitness. Sure, I did the required gym classes and failed all of my fitness tests every time.
I loved to dance, but that was for fun, not for working out. I also loved eating - like, a lot. Especially pasta (still my all-time favorite).
In college, I was clinically diagnosed with an eating disorder. :(
I'm not going to lie and say I don't still struggle - I do. Some days are better, some days are worse, but I've learned to manage my issues in a healthy way.
You've probably heard people joke: LOL, I only workout so I can eat.
For me, this isn't a joke, it's a reality.
Working out has really helped me to overcome a lot of my mental challenges and become healthier and stronger. I may not be the strongest or fittest physically, but strength really starts from within.
